CM assures to order scrapping of cases filed against Telangana students

A delegation comprising of MPs Manda Jagannatham, G Vivek and Madhu Goud Yaskhi met with the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy today and urged him to order scrapping of cases filed against the students of Telangana who participated in the separate statehood agitation recently.
The MPs speaking to the reporters after the meeting, said that the Chief Minister has assured them that he will review and order scrapping of the cases filed against students as promised by the Government earlier. The Government would also take steps to stop the police harassment on students based on old cases.
Manda Jagannatham said that the students in the region were psychologically depressed because of the cases and are also reluctant to appear for any examinations. He said that a false case has been booked against students that they have planted a bomb on the visit of Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy to Mahaboobnagar as part of his Odarpu Yatra.
