Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof. M Kodandaram has called on the Telangana people to obstruct the padayatra of the Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu in Telangana. The TDP president will resume his Rythu Poru Bata pada yatra from Adilabad Wednesday.

Kodandaram questioned how Chandrababu Naidu can tour in Telangana region without even mentioning about the ongoing mass Telangana movement in his speech during the no-confidence motion debate in the Assembly. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to tour in Khanapur constituency of Adilabad on 14th and Armuru and Nizamabad rural constituencies of Nizamabad district on the 15th of this month. Speaking at a seminar on 'Indian federalism – problems and solutions' at the Arts college in Warangal, Kodandaram said that Chandrababu Naidu has lost the right to step in Telangana because of his two-eye theory.

People should not accept the MLAs who have resigned for their positions for name sake, he said. Kodandaram added that they will not accept any alternative to the Telangana state. Saying that the Centre is trying to come out with packages such as regional development boards, Kodandaram added that none of the promises made in the past were fulfilled by the Seemandhra leaders.

Former Adilabad MLA Jogu Ramanna has also addressed a press conference and called on the people not to allow Chandrababu Naidu to tour in the district. Meanwhile, the TDP leaders are making all efforts to make the tour a success. Adilabad MP Ramesh Rathod has criticized Ramanna for turning a betrayer of the Telugu Desam party.
