TRS places adjournment motion on Telangana State resolution

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) legislators have demanded a resolution on Telangana state in the Assembly today. The second day proceedings of the Winter session was started with TDP legislators demanding the no-confidence motion against the Government and TRS legislators demanding a resolution on Telangana state. The TRS legislators sported white Telangana 'T' t-shirts with Telangana slogans on it in the assembly.

Meanwhile, TDP Telangana Forum leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that the Government has lost the trust of the people and that is the reason why they have served a no-confidence motion against the Government. Speaking at media point in the Assembly, Dayakar Rao said that all opposition parties should come forward and vote against the Kiran Kumar Reddy's Government. Erabelli said that both the Centre and State governments have cheated the Telangana people by promising a Telangana state and later backing down on it. He urged all the party leaders to come forward to pull down the Government.

Reiterates demand at Mediapoint

TRS leader Etela Rajender speaking at the media point said that TRS doesn't play greedy politics and said that their only goal is to gain freedom for Telangana people. He alleged that the current Telugu Desam Party is not the same TDP party founded by NT Rama Rao for self-respect of the people. He also lashed out against the Government saying that they are playing black politics and putting illegal cases against Telangana activists. Rajender said that while Seemandhra TDP activists are demanding for no-confidence motion against the Government, the Telangana TD Forum leaders want Telangana bill in the Parliament. The TRS party demanded a resolution on Telangana State today itself. He said that the actions of Chandrababu Naidu shows that he supports the Government.

TRS gives no-confidence notice on Telangana issue

While the Telugu Desam Party has served a no-confidence motion notice against Kiran Kumar Reddy's government on farmers issue, the TRS party today served a similar notice on Telangana issue. TRS floor leader Etela Rajender said that the TRS party has given the letter saying that the Government lost the trust of the people as they backed down on their promise of formation of a separate Telangana state. TRS MLA K Taraka Rama Rao said that the discussion on no-confidence motion should be placed only after resolution on Telangana state.

TRS legislators protest in front of Secretariat

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi legislators protested in front of the Chief Minister's chamber at the Secretariat. They demanded the release of TRS polit bureau member Cheruku Sudhakar and other Telangana activists who have been arrested by filing illegal cases. Chief Minister spoke with the TRS legislators and told them that he would take appropriate action on the issue.
