State Government's prestigious Rachabanda Programme runs in rough weather in Telangana

The most prestigious Government's Rachchabanda programme in Telangana regions ran into rough weather at several places with the TRS activists and some of the Telugu Desam Party leaders opposing it. Member of Parliament from Karimnagar Ponnam Prabhakar along with TDP MLA G Kamalakar announced the boycott of Rachabanda on the same dias in Karimnagar. They along with TRS supporters raised slogans demanding the introduction of the Telangana Bill in Parliament.

In a series of incidents, the TRS activists hurled eggs at the convoy of Minister for Women and Child Welfare V Sunitha Laxma Reddy in his own constituency of Narasapur in Medak district. Two Congress MLAs P Kishta Reddy and Ch Mutyam Reddy returned back without holding meetings in their constituencies. The programme could not be held in Siddipet constituency, the home of TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao.

TRS and BJP supporters raised slogans in Warangal where Minister for Backward Classes Welfare Saraiah and Congress MP Rajaiah were present leading to the cancelation of the remaining meetings. Minister for Civil Supplies D Sridhar Babu however managed to conduct the programme amdist tight security in four interiror villages. Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy could conduct the progdramme in five of the six villages she visited in Maheswaram constituency of Ranga Reddy district.
