'12 per cent reservation to Muslims' says KCR

The TRS party president K Chandrasekhar Rao promised to give 12 percent reservation to Muslims if a separate Telangana state is formed. Speaking at a meeting of Muslims near Chanderghat on Monday, he said he would ensure that 12 per cent quota for Muslims would be implemented in the lines of the Tamil Nadu, where the reservations went up to 70 percent and required the Centre's intervention. He asked the Muslims to shed disillusionment owing to poverty and get united to lead a better life in separate Telangana.
