Reactions on the Sri Krishna Committee Report

Various political leaders have expressed their views and comments on the Sri Krishna Committee Report.
- Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal opined that the topics mentioned in the Sri Krishna Report are non biased. Speaking to the media, Rajagopal said that the recommendations made in the Sri Krishna Committee Report will help mingle the people from Andhra and Telangana regions. He appreciated the recommendation made for a United Andhra Pradesh in the report. He said it is fair to say that lack of development in some districts exist across the state and not only in Telangana.
- Telangana Praja Front leader Gaddar demanded that the bill for separate Telangana state should be tabled in the Parliament in the Budget session.
- TRS MLA Harish Rao opined that there is nothing new that is mentioned in the Sri Krishna Committee Report.
- Congress leader Kavuri Sambasiva Rao opined that the Sri Krishna Committee has made excellent recommendations. He congratulated the Committee on submitting its report within the stipulated time. He said that he would comment on the report only after going through it thoroughly.
- CPI Leaders expresssed their dissatisfaction on the Sri Krishna Committee Report. Commenting after the all party meeting, G Mallesh said that the report lacks substance in it.
- CPM leader Raghavulu demanded the Central Government to express its view on the formation of separate Telangana state. He welcomed Home Minister Chidambaram's appeal to the political parties to maintain Peace, Law and Order in the state. He also expressed satisfaction on Home Minister's request to hold discussions to solve the Telangana issue.
- TRS MLA K Taraka Rama Rao said that despite any number of recommendations made, the only viable option is to form a Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital. He rejected the idea of a separate Telangana state with no Hyderabad. He demanded the MLAs and MPs who promised to resign to their positions if the Sri Krishna Committee Report doesn't come favorably to Telangana to stick to their words.
- Congress senior leader Uppu Nootala Purushottam Reddy said that the Sri Krishna Report has cheated the people of Telangana state. Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, Purushottam Reddy said that the Telangana people are ready to do any number of sacrifices to achieve a separate Telangana state. He called on the Telangana MPs and MLAs to resign to their positions.
- Telangana Rashtra Samithi President K Chandrasekhar Rao opined that the Sri Krishna Committee Report is not against the formation of Telangana state. Speaking to the media in Indira Park, KCR demanded the tabling of Telangana Bill in the Budget session of the Parliament. He made it clear that the TRS party will not hold back their protests till the bill is tabled in the Parliament.
- Praja Rajyam Party leader C Ramachandriah said that it is fair to follow the recommendation made to keep the state united. He said that the Praja Rajyam Party will comment on the report after going through it thoroughly.
- Lok Satta President Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan urged the political parties in the state to concentrate on the benefits to the people rather than for political gains. Reacting to the Sri Krishna Committee Report, he said that the people of the state are aspiring to live respectable lives. He said that it is the responsibility of the political parties to promote an environment that is free from violence.
- BJP State President G Kishan Reddy said that AICC President Sonia Gandhi is to be blamed for all the life sacrifices made during the Telangana protests.
- Congress leader and incharge of Congress’ State Affairs Veerappa Moily has urged the political parties to respect the Sri Krishna Committee Report.
