Educational Institutions Bandh in Telangana

The Students JAC of the Osmania University have called for a bandh for education institutions across Telangana protesting the lathi charge on students yesterday by the police in the OU campus. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Telangana Political JAC have offered solidarity with the Students JAC. TDP Telangana Forum leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Yuva Telangana Convener Jitta Balakrishna Reddy also supported the call for bandh. They have called on the Government Employees to hold protests during their lunch time.
Meanwhile, police forces were deployed at Raj Bhavan as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward situations. Special Police Forces were also deployed at the CM's Camp Office and at the residences of Ministers, Political Leaders, IPS and IAS Officers. Special police posts were deployed at the Assembly, Telugu Varsity and at the statues of Potti Sriramulu and Telugu Talli.
