Prof. Kodandaram condemns restrictions on media
Hyderabad
The Telangana JAC convener Prof. M Kodandaram strongly condemned the restrictions imposed on the media. Speaking to the media, Kodandaram said that undue restrictions on media were preventing the facts from reaching people. He charged that the Thursday's incidents at the Osmania University were the result of nothing but provocation by the police.
Kodandaram said that some policemen in mufti resorted to stone pelting to instigate the students and then resorted to lathi charge. He recalled the Supreme Court directions that para military forces should not be deployed in the vicinity of campus and the civil police only with the permission of the three member committee. The Telangana Gazetted Officers Association president said that if the forces were not withdrawn, they would launch an action programme.
