Telangana 'Million March' from afternoon on March 10th

Convener of the Telangana political JAC, Prof. M Kodandaram has said that the "Million march" protest will begin in the afternoon on March 10th. Speaking to the media, he said that the decision to postpone the start of the march till afternoon was taken after considering the requests of the students and their families who are attending the intermediate examinations.

Revealing the details of the march, Kodandaram said that they will reach tank bund in different groups from different places and will stage a dharna. He said that the purpose of the rally is to pressurize the Government to place the Telangana bill in the Parliament. He assured the people that the rally will be held peacefully and that all Telangana people should participate in the rally.

However, Cyberabad police commissioner Timrumala Rao made it clear that the proposed 'Million March' rally doesn't have the required approval. He said that section 114 will be in effect on March 10th and urged the Telangana activists not to disrupt the IT industry. Hyderabad city police commissioner AK Khan told the media that dharnas, rallies and public meetings are banned on March 10th in Hyderabad. He warned that the police will take action on those who violate the guidelines.
