Harish Rao demands action plan to resolve farmers problems

Siddipet MLA and TRS leader T Harish Rao threatened that they will siege the Department of Agriculture office in Hyderabad if an action plan to resolve the problems faced by farmers is not announced within two or three days. He lashed out against the state government saying that the rate of suicides of farmers increased in the current government. He added that the responsibility to create hope among farmers is with the state government.
Harish Rao said that they would tour extensively in drought-hit areas of Telangana. He demanded an input subsity of Rs. 15,000 per acre to the farmers and also demanded that the government should buy outputs from farmers directly under the Raithu Bandhu scheme. He also urged the government to convene an all party meeting to discuss about the farmers problems.
