Protests across Telangana on AP Formation Day

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi party has termed the AP Formation Day as traitors day. TRS party senior leader Nayani Narasimha Reddy has unfurled a black flag demanding a separate Telangana state. Senior leader Vinod and newly joined MLAs Somarapu Satyanarayana and T Rajaiah participated in the event.

Clash at AP Formation Day function in Warangal

The AP Formation Day celebrations at Warangal turned ugly when TRS MLA Vinay Bhaskar has raised 'Jail Telangana' slogans on the dias. The AP Formation Day function was organized at the Kakatiya Degree College. Vinay Bhaskar climbed the dias and started shouting slogans against the government. He was joined by the students of the Kakatiya University. The police had a hard time to control the MLA. District Collector Rahul Bojja was observing the stalls when the event happened. District SP Rajesh Kumar was present at the function. The police finally took the MLA into custody.

Rally at Osmania University turns violent

The rally staged by students at the Osmania University turned violent again. Pressing their demand for the formation of a separate Telangana state, students of Osmania University staged a rally from Arts College in OU till Gun Park. The TRS students division also staged a rally to Gun park. The police stopped both the rallies at NCC Gate as Section 144 is in effect in the city. The argument turned violent as students threw stones against the police. The police had to resort to tear gas to get the situation in control. Vehicles towards Osmania University were diverted and heavy police forces were put in place.

Konda Lakshman Bapuji begins hunger strike in New Delhi

Freedom fighter Konda Lakshman Bapuji started his one week hunger strike in New Delhi today. Telangana leaders Madhu Goud Yaskhi, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Nagam Janardhan Reddy were present at the deeksha. Speaking on the occasion, Telangana Praja Front leader Gaddar said that all political parties in Telangana will offer solidarity with the hunger strike. He warned that Government that it has to bear the consequences of the hunger strike.
