- The indefinite hunger strike of Nalgonda MLA and former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy entered day 2. He has received support from various parties, Telangana political JAC and Telangana Employees' JAC already. Venkat Reddy on the second day of his fast demanded the release of Warangal MLA Vinay Bhaskar who was arrested yesterday for disrupting AP formation day celebrations. He said that such arrests are undemocratic.
- Freedom fighter Konda Lakshman Bapuji who is on a week long hunger strike in New Delhi to press the demand for Telangana state, has said that the agitation is not related to politics in anyway. Speaking on day 2 of the hunger strike, Lakshman Bapuji said that he is not bothered whether he gets support from political parties in Andhra Pradesh. A round table meeting on Thursday is scheduled to decide the future course of action, he said.
- Warangal West MLA Vinay Bhaskar who was arrested yesterday when he tried to disrupt the AP Formation Day celebrations was shifted to MGM hospital when he complained of sickness. TRS activists came in huge numbers to the MGM hospital and raised slogans demanding the release of the MLA. Three cases were filed against Vinay Bhaskar. He was later released on a bail.
- Ministers D Sridhar Babu, Sabitha Indra Reddy and Geeta Reddy have met today to discuss about Rachabanda - II in Rangareddy district. They have decided to address the issues faced during the last year the programme which will begin on November 4th. The District Collector has been directed to provide quality rice to the poor as part of the Rs. 1 per kilo rice scheme.
- The State Intelligence Bureau has written to TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao urging him to accept the gunmen provided by the government for security reasons. KCR has earlier sent back the gunmen provided by the government in protest against arrests during Sakala Janula Samme. The State IB has also written to MLAs to reconsider their decision of sending back gunmen.
- BJP senior leader Vidyasagar Rao has said that Telangana state could only be formed if the government is collapsed. He opined that the Governor should call the government to face a floor test in the assembly. He also said that the main opposition TDP should move a no-confidence motion against the government.
- The Rachabanda - II programme in Karimnagar was postponed as the final list of beneficiaries of ration cards and house site pattas was not made. The programme would be held after 10th as per the officials.
- Former Minister Santosh Reddy sat in for a day fast today in support of the Telangana state in Nizamabad. Several Congress leaders, JAC leaders and unions have extended their solidarity with the hunger strike.
- Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy was gheraoed by Telangana activists in Vikarabad of Rangareddy district. The police committed lathi charge to disperse the activists.
