- Ponnam Prabhakar to meet Congress central leadership on Telangana issue again
- The 'Sakala Janula Samme' in Telangana reached Day 19. As part of the agitations, the Telangana activists will stage torchlight demonstrations today. The Bharatiya Janata Party is making arrangements to hold the torchlight demonstrations at Tank Bund in Hyderabad in the evening.
- Employees of Andhra Pradesh Secretariat, Singareni, APSRTC, Electricity Board, GHMC, Teachers and Students are continuing the agitations.
- State in-charge for Congress affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad would come to Hyderabad tomorrow. Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Botcha Satyanarayana who went to New Delhi recently would also reach Hyderabad tomorrow. Ghulam Nabi Azad would meet Botcha and Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to discuss about the Telangana issue tomorrow.
- Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu will soon tour in Telangana region. Chandrababu has met with senior leaders of Telangana region at his residence in Hyderabad today. He enquired about the Sakala Janula Samme and the recent developments in the Telangana agitations.
- Former TDP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy staged a sit-in protest in the chamber of Deputy Speaker today demanding the approval of his resignation. Harishwar Reddy and Jogu Ramanna also joined Nagam in the protest.
- Telugu Desam MLA Uma Madhava Reddy faced an awkward situation when she was asked by the Teachers at Bibinagar to put efforts to get her resignation approved. The MLA was addressing a gathering at the Teachers JAC Dhoomdham in Bhuvanagiri when she was interrupted.
- Minister Komatireddy has tendered his resignation. He met Governor ESL Narasimhan in the evening and submitted his resignation letter. It is known that Komatireddy was dissatisfied by Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy's attitude towards Telangana.
- CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat has wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh about the Telangana issue. He has mentioned that business came to a halt in the Telangana region since the past three weeks and urged him to take appropriate steps to address the issue before the situation gets out of hand. He questioned the Prime Minister on why the UPA Government needs the political parties to announce their stand when they have already done so to the Sri Krishna Committee earlier.

- Telangana JAC leaders have staged a silent sit-in deeksha at Raj Ghat in New Delhi. TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao, TJAC chairman M Kodandaram, BJP senior leader Ch Vidyasagar Rao and others took part in the silent deeksha.
- State in-charge for Congress affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad has urged the pro-Telangana activists to end the General strike. Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, Ghulam Nabi Azad said that consultations on the Telangana issue at a national level is pending. He said that a solution will soon come out to end the crisis.
- Finance Minister N Raghuveera Reddy has blamed the Telangana activists for their 'Sakala Janula Samme' which is causing several power crisis in the State. He said that if the farmers couldn't get the crops in their hand, the Telangana activists are to be blamed. Speaking on the Telangana issue, he said that it has to be addressed by the Central Government and urged the Employees in Telangana region to call off their general strike immediately.

- The Sakala Janula Samme entered 21st day in Telangana. The APSRTC workers strike is on Day 15. The New Democracy leaders have staged a rasta roko at Illendu on the way to the Singareni Collieries. They have staged a torchlight protest.
- The Telangana delegation that is in New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh have got an appointment at 7pm today. The delegation would apprise the Prime Minister about the Sakala Janula Samme and the current situation in Telangana.

- The Sakala Janula Samme entered Day 23 today.
- The Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders who went to New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will return to Hyderabad today. TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, MLAs T Harish Rao, K Taraka Rama Rao and others are part of the delegation.
- The Maoists have expressed their solidarity with the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme. They have called for a nationwide bandh on October 11. A press release has been issued urging all the parties to support the bandh.
- Nearly 120 Telangana activists have been arrested in connection to the attack on private buses on the National Highway No. 9 in Nalgonda. 36 cases have been filed against them. Special police forces will be used to identify another 400 in connection to the attacks.
- Telangana JAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram warned that the rail roko agitations on October 9, 10 and 11 will be much more severe. He called to make the Telangana agitations a big success by supporting the rail roko agitation.
- TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao said that he will tour in New Delhi on the 11th of this month again. He said that he would meet Union Ministers AK Antony and Pranab Mukherjee at that time. He said that though he planned to meet them during this trip, he couldn't do so due to the Ministers unavailability.

- Congress senior leader and Rajya sabha member K Keshava Rao said that the Government is not responding properly to the Sakala Janula Samme. He expressed anguish that the police are trying to curb the peaceful agitation by using violent methods. He said that the State Government has intentionally withheld the salaries of employees who are participating in the general strike.
- Korantla MLA Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao said that the Sakala Janula Samme will go on till the statehood of Telangana is achieved. He participated in a Dasara celebration at Metpalli organized by the Telangana Employees JAC. He urged the people to cooperate with the general strike.
- Law Minister E Pratap Reddy said that the Telangana issue could only be resolved with discussions. He urged the UPA Government to initiate consultations with Rayalaseema public representatives.
- Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare & State in-charge for Congress affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad has confirmed that the Congress party would reveal its stand on the Telangana issue in November. He said that the consultations on the Telangana issue at National level would begin after the Dasara puja holidays.
- The State Government has agreed to pay salaries to the employees who are participating in the Sakala Janula Samme. Along with the salary, Rs. 3000 festival advance would also be given.
