A day after making allegations that the TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has made a deal of getting Polavaram project contract to stop the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme, the Telugu Desam Party demanded KCR to explain the source of investments in the daily 'Namaste Telangana'.

Senior leaders of the TDP Telangana forum - T Devender Goud, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and R Prakash Reddy addressed a press conference alleging that the promoters of the company that bagged the Polavaram contract has majority stakes in the Namaste Telangana daily through another firm Intercontinental Infrastructure. They alleged that Chandrasekhar Rao has benami companies that are getting contracts at inflated prices and in turn he is dampening the Telangana movement. They mentioned that after carrying a series of articles on how Polavaram project affects the interests of people in Telangana region and displaces lakhs of tribals, the Namaste Telangana daily has recently carried out a report favoring the Polavaram project suddenly.

The Telugu Desam Party also warned the Government saying that exploiting the weakness of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi will not weaken the Telangana movement, saying KCR is not the only one representing the Telangana movement.
