The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party has reiterated that there is no change in their stand on their opposing the Polavaram project. At a press conference, TRS leader in the Assembly Etela Rajender demanded the cancellation of tenders finalized for the Polavaram project. He questioned the government's decision to go ahead with the project despite clear directions from the Supreme Court to fix up the deficiencies pointed out by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi before taking up the project.

The TRS party also demanded the Telugu Desam Party to write to the government seeking cancellation of the project. Rajendar also alleged that the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was closely related to the owners of SEW which has been declared eligible to implement the project. They also demanded the TDP to disclose the identity of directors of SEW.

Reacting to TDP allegations on Namaste Telangana daily, Etela Rajender dared TDP to initiate steps on the daily if it was sure that SEW invested in the newspaper. He also said that the TRS wouldn't bother responding to the allegations made by TDP leaders unless they come from Chandrababu Naidu. He said that the allegations are part of a vindictive stand against the daily.
