The Leaders of Telangana Joint Action Committees of Employees, Officers, Teachers and Workers said that they will participate in talks only if the Centre comes up with a favorable announcement on the statehood of Telangana. They said that the JAC is also insisting on withdrawal of only serious offenses out of the 22 cases booked during the Sakala Janula Samme.
The Telangana Congress Steering Committee meeting was postponed which hints that all is not well with the Telangana Congress leaders. The meeting was initially scheduled to be held at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally, but was later shifted to the residence of Minister K Jana Reddy. The meeting was later postponed as most of the Congress leaders went to attend the wedding of daughter of Pedapally MP G Vivekananda.
