Telangana Government Employees call off 42-day-old Strike
Hyderabad
The Sakala Janula Samme came to an end Monday after the Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee (TEJAC) has agreed to call off the strike after a series of negotiations with the government. The TEJAC has announced that it is calling off the 42-day-old strike, which is one of the longest agitations by the government employees in the State.
The decision to call off the strike came after the government broadly conceded to nine demands of the TEJAC. The negotiations began in the noon when TEJAC leaders including K Swamy Goud, Srinivas Goud, Vithal, Deviprasad and Narendra Rao accepted the invitation of the government for talks. The leaders held talks with Chief Secretary Pankaj Dwivedi and the Group of Ministers headed by C Damodar Rajanarasimha.
