The Telugu Desam Telangana forum will organize 'Telangana Sadhana Sadassu' in telangana as part of their effort to intensify the Telangana movement. Forum leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu announced that the Sadassu will begin in Chevella of Rangareddy district. He said that the intention of the Sadassu is to educate the people in the region that the TRS and Congress party are misleading the people of the Telangana region.
The Congress core-committee met in New Delhi to discuss about the Telangana issue along with other issues. Apart from the core-committee members - Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Defence Minister AK Antony, Home Minister P Chidambaram, AICC president Sonia Gandhi and her political secretary Ahmed Patel - Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Law Minister Salman Khurshid also participated in the meeting. Azad explained the current ground realities in Telangana region. As per the sources, the UPA plans to consult its electoral partners soon before taking a decision on the statehood of Telangana.
Telangana Praja Front Gaddar said that he is contemplating to float a new party to carry on the Telangana movement. Gaddar expressed solidarity with the anti-Polavaram campaign launched by the Osmania University JAC and Adivasi Students Association.
Nine Congress MPs went to the residence of Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and urged him to reconsider his decision on going on an indefinite hunger strike. However, Venkat Reddy has turned down their plea saying that all arrangements for his hunger strike have already been made and made it clear that he will not go back on his decision. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy will launch the indefinite fast from November 1.
