Strengthening the TRS party further, two Congress MLAs and an Independent MLA are all set to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. This is a serious jolt to the ruling Congress party though not surprising. Kollapur MLA and former Civil Supplies Minster Jupally Krishna Rao, Station Ghanpur MLA T Rajaiah and Independent MLA Somarapu Satyanarayana would join the TRS party at a meeting which will be addressed by TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao in the afternoon.

Jupally Krishna Rao was busy all today meeting his supporters at Kollapur. He sought the views of his loyal followers on his plans to join the TRS party. It is learnt that the decision was left to him. Dr. Rajaiah proposes to take up fast at the martyr's memorial at Basheerbagh after which he will head to the TRS office to attend the meeting. Somarapu Satyanarayana will also severe his ties with the Congress party. Somarapu Satyanarayana will also severe his ties with the Congress party.

Congress MPs have tried to prevent the leaders from quitting the Congress party, but their efforts went in vain. Both Jupally and Rajaiah are staunch protagonists of Telangana and had problems with district congress leaders. While Krishna Rao had a tough time with Information Minister D K Aruna, Rajaiah also had problems with a minister interfering with his constituency matters.
