  • The Sakala Janula Samme entered Day 23 today.
  • The Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders who went to New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will return to Hyderabad today. TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, MLAs T Harish Rao, K Taraka Rama Rao and others are part of the delegation.
  • The Maoists have expressed their solidarity with the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme. They have called for a nationwide bandh on October 11. A press release has been issued urging all the parties to support the bandh.
  • Nearly 120 Telangana activists have been arrested in connection to the attack on private buses on the National Highway No. 9 in Nalgonda. 36 cases have been filed against them. Special police forces will be used to identify another 400 in connection to the attacks.
  • Telangana JAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram warned that the rail roko agitations on October 9, 10 and 11 will be much more severe. He called to make the Telangana agitations a big success by supporting the rail roko agitation.
  • TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao said that he will tour in New Delhi on the 11th of this month again. He said that he would meet Union Ministers AK Antony and Pranab Mukherjee at that time. He said that though he planned to meet them during this trip, he couldn't do so due to the Ministers unavailability.
