- TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao called on managements of educational institutions from Telangana to take complete control over corporate education in the region. He said that managements of corporate schools and colleges from coastal districts are aiming to uproot the educational system in the region.
- The Telangana employees association has decided to extend their support to the general strike proposed by Telangana political JAC from September 13.
- Former Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao criticized TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao for his comments that the Telangana state is unlikely before 2014. He said that such statements would demoralize the Telangana activists who have intensified their struggle for a separate Telangana state.

- Telangana activists have gheraoed Balkonda MLA E Anil and demanded him to quit as MLC in support of a separate Telangana state. The Balkonda MLA was at the Bheemgal mandal headquarters in Nizamabad when the Telangana activists gheraoed him and raised slogans asking him to quit his MLC membership. Tense scenes were witnessed as the activists manhandled an aide of the MLC. Police sprang into action and took some activists into custody.

- Former TRS legislator Kasipeta Lingaiah joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of senior BJP leaders Indrasena Reddy, Vidyasagar Rao, Arjun Rao and Ramakrishna Reddy in Karimnagar.
- Leaders of the TRS party and its students' wing burnt effigies of MLAs and MPs representing Adilabad district who had not resigned for the cause of a separate Telangana state.

TRS is most likely to support Pocharam Srinivas Reddy.

- Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao has criticized Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy that he is intentionally cheating the people of Telangana region. Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad, Harish Rao alleged that the Chief Minister is acting in such a way that it hurts the farmers in the Telangana region. He demanded a report on the power allocation to Andhra and Telangana regions in the last three days.
- Some of the candidates who are to appear in the Group-I examinations have approached the human rights commission urging them to intervene and cancel the exams because of the ongoing 'Sakala Janula Samme'. However, the HRC has made it clear that the issue is out of their jurisdiction. The Government has already made all arrangements to conduct the examination.
- Telangana Congress MPs Madhu Yaskhi Goud and G Vivek met with Congress core committee member AK Antony. They have discussed with him on the ongoing 'Sakala Janula Samme' in Telangana.

- Responding to the call from the Telangana JAC, the small and medium scale industries in Telangana region will stage a 48-hour bandh in Hydearbad from tomorrow onwards.
- Nalgonda MP Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy said that he will complain about the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to the party's central leadership in New Delhi. He said that he would report about the bias shown by Kiran Kumar against Telangana. Responding to rumors that he might be interested in joining Jagan's camp, he said that there is no question of him joining YSR Congress party.
- BJP national leader Ravishankar Prasad has questioned why Home minister P Chidambaram has made a statement on the formation of a separate Telangana state on December 9 when the Congress party is not interested. He said that when BJP was in power, they have approved for a separate Chattisghad state even though the demand was at a much lower level than the present Telangana agitation.

- The 'Sakala Janula Samme' has reached the 15th day today. Employees, Teachers, Singareni employees, APSRTC workers, lecturers, students, GHMC workers are participating in the general strike voluntarily.
- The employees in strike at the Secretariat reached the second day. The employees belonging to the Telangana region reached the Secretariat and raised Jai Telangana slogans. Police have deployed additional forces at the premises.
- The Telangana Congress MLAs have left to New Delhi today. They will meet at the residence of Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao in the afternoon. Sources say that the MPs have decided to give an ultimatum to the central leadership to announce a positive news on Telangana formation in the next two or three days.
- The APSRTC JAC has made it clear that there is no question of ending the strike. Condemning the rumors that they are ending the strike, the JAC leaders said that they would increase the intensity of the strike gradually.

- Telangana JAC Chairman Prof. M Kodandaram says that the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is trying to curb the Telangana movement.
- The Telangana Employees Association has approached the Human Rights Commission to take action on police officials who have attacked the Telangana Employees JAC leader Swamy Goud.

- The Sakala Janula Samme in Telangana has reached Day 17. TJAC convener Prof. M Kodandaram was arrested in the morning when he went to the show solidarity with the Newspapers hackers. The Telangana Employees JAC raised slogans demanding the release of Kodandaram immediately.
- Kamareddy MLA Gampa Govardhan has submitted his resignation to the Telugu Desam Party membership. He has faxed his resignation letter to the TDP office. Govardhan will join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in presence of K Chandrasekhar Rao in the evening.
- Telugu Desam MLAs of Telagana region have left to Banswada in the morning today. Speaking to reporters, TD Telangana forum convener Erabelli Dayakar Rao will urge the politicians in Banswada not to contest the byelections next month. He said that Telangana could be achieved only through constitutional crisis.
- TDP MLA Payyala Keshav found fault with TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao saying that KCR wants to split Rayalaseema into two halves. Speaking to reporters, Payyala Keshav and Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy said that they won't tolerate if Telangana leaders talk in a manner hurting the sentiments of Seemandhra region.
- TRS MLA K Taraka Rama Rao said that the people of Telangana region are aspiring for a Telangana state with 10 districts. He said that if the Centre has any proposal on the Telangana state, they should reveal it so that it can be discussed. He said that Congress alone have to take a decision on the statehood issue as a consensus in the NDA was already achieved.

- The Telangana Joint Action Committee has called for a bandh in Hyderabad as part of their agitations demanding a separate Telangana state. The Sakala Janula Samme has reached Day 18. The South Central Railways has announced that it is cancelling all MMTS trains due to bandh.
- Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has condemned the attack on Telugu Desam Party legislators by TRS leaders in Nizamabad yesterday. Chandrababu Naidu, who is in Anantapur, said that they are not supporting any candidate in the Banswada by-election next month. He said that their goal is to educate the people on the 'drama' that is being played by the Congress and TRS parties in Banswada.
- TRS MLA K Taraka Rama Rao has said that the Congress legislators should question the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on the incorrect report that were sent to the Central Government on the Sakala Janula Samme in Telangana. Taraka Rama Rao has participate in a Dhoom Dham programme in his constituency of Sircilla. Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that the role played by Sepoys in the Indian Independence Movement is crucial and similarly if the police forces in Telangana join the Telangana movement, the statehood of Telangana can be achieved much sooner.
