Electricity Employees to join Sakala Janula Samme
Hyderabad
The Telangana 'Sakala Janula Samme' is gaining momentum with the Telangana Electricity Employees' Joint Action Committee (TEEJAC) deciding to boycott their duties and join the strike. In a meeting held at the Mint Compound by the TEEJAC, it was decided that the Electricity employees would boycott their regular duties from tomorrow onwards except in cases of emergency services like power supply and maintenance. However, the Electricity employees will not sign the attendance register.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi President K Chandrasekhar Rao was present at the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, KCR called on people in the region to target the Congress and TDP elected representatives instead of Electricity employees in case they faced any inconvenience. He said that it is because of TDP and Congress leaders reluctance to lead the movement, that the TEEJAC has decided to join the general strike.
Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader Bandaru Dattatreya termed the Telangana Ministers as betrayers, saying the administration in the entire Telangana region came to a halt because of the general strike except the Secretariat. TJAC Convenor Prof. M Kodandaram, TEEJAC chairman Anandam, BJP senior leader Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, CPI(ML) New Democracy leaders Suryam and Goverdhan were present at the meeting.
