The Telangana Ministers met at the residence of Major Irrigation Minister P Sudarshan Reddy and decided to directly confront the central leadership next week on the Telangana issue. The nine ministers who attended the two-hour long meeting dashed off a letter to the party high command explaining the grim political situation in the Telangana region. The leaders also appeared frustrated as the Congress central leadership's silence despite the general strike in the region.

Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy reportedly said that the Congress leaders are willing to talk to the agitators to call off the strike if the Congress central leadership promises to come out with a positive news on Telangana state even within two, three or six months. The ministers also expressed doubts whether an announcement on the issue would come by the month end as AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee who are on a foreign trip won't return till the 25th of this month.

Infrastructure Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy earlier told the Telangana Electronic Media Journalists Association that he would resign to both his Minister's seat as well as MLA's seat and would sit on a fast-undo-death from October 2 in Nalgonda, if no decision on the issue would come by the month end.

On the other hand, the Telangana United Front (TUF) accused JAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram for taking arbitrary decisions in relation with the Telangana movement. TUF secretary general and MLC K Dileep Kumar questioned how the JAC could call for a rail roko on September 24 and 25, when they had already planned for a 'Mana Rajadhani March' on September 24.
