Rail Roko will not be extended : Kodandaram
Hyderabad
Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman M Kodandaram announced that the 48-hour rail roko which began yesterday will not be extended. The success of the rail roko agitation has prompted interest among some Telangana leaders to extend the agitation.
Prof. Kodandaram and Sircilla MLA K Taraka Rama Rao participated in the rail roko protests at Moula Ali in Hyderabad today. Speaking on the occasion, they said that they are under pressure to extend the strike from various sections of people in Telangana if the Central Government doesn't respond to the protests. However, the JAC decided that the Central Government has realized the loss that was caused by the 48-hour rail roko and hence they have decided not to extend the agitation.
The rail roko will end at 6pm today.
