TJAC releases schedule of next phase in Telangana agitations

The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) has called for a bandh in Hyderabad on September 30. A three-day rail roko all across the Telangana region will also be staged from October 9 to 11, as part of the agitation demanding a separate Telangana state.
The TJAC held a meeting Monday and finalized the next phase of agitation. The plan was announced to the media by TJAC chairman M Kodandaram and Telangana Rashtra Samithi ((TRS)) president K Chandrasekhar Rao. KCR has said that the attacks should be made on political leaders from Telangana, particularly those from Congress for the power cuts to agriculture in Telangana. Kodandaram has warned the private bus operated by Seemandhra operators to withdraw their services.
The 14th day of the 'Sakala Janula Samme' witnessed several disturbances in Hyderabad. Several high-profile leaders including Infrastructure and Investments Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Congress MPs Ponnam Prabhakar, Madhu Yaskhi Goud, S Rajaiah, TRS MLAs Eetela Rajender, K Taraka Rama Rao were arrested for obstructing traffic near Vidyuth Soudha.
