KCR urges TRS activists to make general strike a success
Hyderabad
Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao has urged the party workers to be prepared for any eventuality including going to polls. Speaking at an executive meeting of the party in Hyderabad, Chandrasekhar Rao said that it is now more or less clear that the Congress is not willing to concede a separate Telangana state. As per the sources, the TRS president said that even if Congress concedes a separate Telangana state, it will try to link up the demand with Hyderabad.
He said that the party should target at least 100 Assembly seats and 10 to 12 Parliamentary seats whenever the next general elections will be held. He called on the telangana activists to ensure that the entire vehicular traffic would be disrupted in the forthcoming general strike. He also called on the party workers to dig up the highways to make sure that vehicles from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions won't enter Telangana.
Senior party leaders Nani Narasimha Reddy and S Madhusudhanachary were also present in the meeting. Meanwhile, the Telangana employees' panel has decided to serve a notice tomorrow for the proposed strike from September 13.
