  • The Telangana Joint Action Committee has called for a bandh in Hyderabad as part of their agitations demanding a separate Telangana state. The Sakala Janula Samme has reached Day 18. The South Central Railways has announced that it is cancelling all MMTS trains due to bandh.
  • Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has condemned the attack on Telugu Desam Party legislators by TRS leaders in Nizamabad yesterday. Chandrababu Naidu, who is in Anantapur, said that they are not supporting any candidate in the Banswada by-election next month. He said that their goal is to educate the people on the 'drama' that is being played by the Congress and TRS parties in Banswada.
  • TRS MLA K Taraka Rama Rao has said that the Congress legislators should question the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on the incorrect report that were sent to the Central Government on the Sakala Janula Samme in Telangana. Taraka Rama Rao has participate in a Dhoom Dham programme in his constituency of Sircilla. Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that the role played by Sepoys in the Indian Independence Movement is crucial and similarly if the police forces in Telangana join the Telangana movement, the statehood of Telangana can be achieved much sooner.
