The Telangana Congress MPs faulted the decision of the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to withdraw cases against the YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy and others in connection with the Samaikyandhra agitation in Kadapa district.

MPs G Vivekanand, Madhu Goud Yaskhi, Manda Jagannatham and Siricilla Rajaiah questioned why the Chief Minister did not consider withdrawing cases against the students and youths of the region. Speaking at a press conference in Delhi, MP Vivekanand said that the Chief Minister is acting as a representative of the Seemandhra region and not as the Chief Minister. He said that the Chief Minister did not even care to withdraw cases filed against his own party MPs from the Telangana region.

MP Madhu Yaskhi also criticized the Chief Minster for getting pro-Telangana activist Vimalakka arrested in connection with desecration of Kasu Brahmananda Reddy's statute and added that she was not present when the incident took place.
