Madhu Yashki blames Governor for delay of Telangana state

December 24, 2012

Nizamabad Congress MP Madhu Yashki Goud has blamed the Governor ESL Narasimhan for the delay in the formation of Telangana state. He alleged that the Governor has been sending reports to the Congress central leadership regularly against Telangana which has a huge impact on the Centre's attitude towards the issue.

Speaking at a diary release function of the Telangana Group-I Officers' Association in Hyderabad, Madhu Yashki said that based on the reports of the Governor, the Prime Minister is under the belief that the left-wing extremism would resurface in the region if Telangana was made a separate State.

The Nizamabad MP also blamed the role of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana, K Chiranjeevi, KVP Ramachandra Rao, Jagan Mohan Reddy and the Telugu Desam leadership for hurting the chances of Telangana statehood.

KCR allege Congress deal with Jagan

Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the Congress was going back on settling the Telangana issue due to a political settlement with Kadapa MP and YSR Congress Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that the Congress has made a deal with Jagan who promised to offer support to UPA-III in the 2014 general elections.

KCR said that if not UPA, the NDA would help form the separate Telangana state when it comes to power at the Centre in 2014.
