TUF co-chairperson Vimalakka granted bail

A Hyderabad court on Thursday granted bail to Vimalakka who was arrested in connection with the burning of a toll gate on the Outer Ring Road (ORR).

The incident happened in September 2010, when a group of about 30 pro-Telangana activists of Telangana United Front ransacked three toll booths and damaged furniture at Puppalaguda. Police took 15 persons including Vimalakka into custody for the incident. The case was registered under Devunpally police station limits. The police charger her with waging war against the government, conspiracy and extortion. Vimalakka is the co-chairperson of Telangana United Front.

The bail was granted by the 6th Additional District Judge D Nagarjuna, who is acting as in-charge in place of 9th Additional District Judge. The bail was granted after two sureties executed bonds of Rs. 20,000 each.
