TJAC sets deadline to MPs and MLAs to quit by December 28

The Telangana Joint Action committee chairman Prof. M Kodandaram said that the deadline for MPs and MLAs of the Congress and TDP from the region to resign will expire on December 28 in the back drop of the Centre proposed an all-party meet on the issue of separate statehood.

Kodandaram said on Sunday in a meeting that was organized by 'Namaste Telangana' daily that the real challenge before the movement was how to take the political process forward to achieve the cause by introducing an alternative political force and added that it is not difficult for the leadership to intensify the agitation keeping aside the MPs and MLAs if they do not resign by that date. He asked the MPs and MLAs to decide what they proposed to do because of the stand of the Congress and TDP opposing separate Telangana and the YSRCP is no different in that matter, he said.

Keshava Rao charges Rosaiah

Senior Congress leader K Keshava Rao held Rosaiah responsible for not moving the resolution on separate state in the Assembly on December 10, 2009 after the Centre promised to do so on the previous day. He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy was the Speaker of the Assembly did not go by the rules by announcing to the House about that 36 MLAs had submitted their resignation in the wake of announcement from New Delhi on the formation of separate Telangana State.
