Chandrababu boosts TDP chances in Mahabubnagar

March 10, 2012

N Chandrababu Naidu

Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu began campaigning in the Telangana region for the by-elections Saturday. He began his campaign in the Mahabubnagar constituency where his roadshows received enthusiastic turnout. The roadshows by Chandrababu also helped boost the morale of the party workers in the region.

During his roadshows, Chandrababu came down heavily against the TRS, Congress and BJP parties. He charged TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao for neglecting the Mahabubnagar constituency after he was elected an MP from the region. The TDP chief alleged that KCR neither raise the problems of the people in the parliament nor came to Palamuru. Chandrababu sarcastically remarked that KCR instead preferred to sleep at his farm house.

By-elections in Telangana never helped the cause of the statehood, and it only helped the TRS party to prosper, he said. Chandrababu credited the Telugu Desam Party for bringing drinking water to Mahabubnagar from Ramanpadu project in 1998. He said that the Congress rule in the next eight years has resulted in people getting drinking water only once a week. Chandrababu criticized the BJP party for trying to gain votes by fanning communal passions among the people.
