Another student ends life for Telangana

Another student has committed suicide Saturday afternoon for separate Telangana state. The 21-year-old student, Lunavath Bhojya Naik, who is a second year MBA student in a private college set himself ablaze behind the Arts College auditorium and came running into the main road. According to witnesses, he shouted Telangana slogans. Students and passers-by tried to douse the flames. By the time the police arrived, Bhojya Naik was shouting Telangana statehood slogans and fell down. He was rushed to the MGM Hospital and succumbed to burns.

As the news of his suicide spread, TRS leaders B Vinod Kumar, P Sudarshan Reddy, D Vinay Bhaskar and T Rajaiah rushed to the hospital. MLA Vinay Bhaskar appealed to the students not to end their lives for the cause of Telangana state and instead take active participation in the Telangana movement.

TRS legislature party leader Etela Rajender blamed the Congress leaders for the death and said that the ruling Congress is not proactive on the Telangana issue. DCC president and government chief whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy condoled the death and appealed the students not to resort to suicide.
