Auto driver commits suicide for Telangana

An Auto driver from Warangal, Raja Mouli, committed suicide for the cause of Telangana. He set himself ablaze at the public gardens in Hanumakonda. Raja Mouli mentioned in his suicide note that he is committing suicide for the cause of Telangana statehood.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed condolence at the death. He called on students and youth not to resort to suicides and instead take an active role in the Telangana movement. He reminded that warriors in the battlefield fight and will not commit suicides.

Meanwhile, the Telangana JAC has called for a bandh tomorrow protesting the negligent attitude of the Government on the Telangana issue. The JAC leaders blamed the Government for the suicides of Bhojya Naik and Raja Mouli. TRS legislature party leader Etela Rajender called on all the political parties of the region to make the bandh tomorrow a success. He said that the APSRTC was given reprieve from the bandh in view of the ongoing 10th class public examinations. Rajender alleged that the suicides are the result of the comments by Telangana Congress and TDP leaders. TRS, BJP, CPI and CPI (ML) New Democracy parties have offered solidarity with the bandh tomorrow.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu also extended the condolences on the death of Raja Mouli. He called on the youth and students in Telangana not to commit suicides of the Telangana cause. He addressed the media at the party headquarters NTR Bhavan in Hyderabad.

Earlier, on March 24, Bhojya Naik, a MBA student has also committed suicide in Warangal.
