The reported statement of the Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde over his ignorance of the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu's letter on the Telangana issue is nothing but evading tactics of the Congress said TDP senior leaders Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Kadiam Srihari and E Peddi Reddy on Sunday. They said that the Congress party is still continuing to deceive the Telangana people on the issue of separate statehood.

In a press conference, they said that the TDP also received an acknowledgment from the Prime Minister's Office over the receipt of the letter by Chandrababu Naidu. They demanded that all parties in the State supporting the cause of Telangana should mount pressure on the Centre to convene an all-party meeting at the earliest to discuss the issue. They once again clarified that the party would depute a representative for the meeting and said that there is no change in the party stand over the issue.
