The APCC president Botcha Satyanarayana has requested the Congress leaders from Telangana region not to distort the comments of the AICC general secretary and in-charge of AP Congress affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad on separate Telangana. His reaction comes in the light of the comments of the former CWC member K Keshava Rao's statement that the party leadership was forcing some leaders to look for an alternative.

Botcha Satyanarayana said that the issue of separate Telangana is a very sensitive and it could not be compared with the new three States that were carved out from Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. He said that no time line can be fixed in resolving the issue and added that the party leadership understood the intensity of the demand.
