Another round of talks soon says TRS Chief Chandrasekhara Rao

The TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao returned to the State on Wednesday after a month's stay in New Delhi holding discussions with the senior Congress leaders. Speaking to reporters on his arrival, KCR said that another round of talks will be there between him and the Congress central leadership before announcing a final decision on the Telangana issue arrives.

Chandrasekhar Rao had met with several ministers and top leaders of the AICC including its president Sonia Gandhi in an effort to bring separate statehood for Telangana. His visit to New Delhi was on the invitation of the Congress higher-ups, he said. KCR was given a warm welcome at the airport by a large group of TRS supporters and MLAs including Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, T Rajaiah and Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao. Chandrasekhara Rao said that his deliberations with the congress senior leaders were smooth and fruitful and expected that a final round of discussions would take place on the issue shortly.

Ball is in Congress Court

Former TRS MP B Vinod Kumar who accompanied KCR in the New Delhi trip said that the ball was in the Congress court as the TRS had left the matter in Congress hands after making a strong case on the issue. He said an announcement would be made shortly and that the people of Telangana need not wait till 2014.
