Telangana MPs complain to Lok Sabha Speaker on Chief Minister

The Congress MPs hailing from Telangana region have given notice of breach of privilege against the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and the State Government for preventing them from discharging their duties as public servants during the Telangana March.

The MPs in a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar narrated the events that took place during the Telangana March. They said that the government has failed in controlling the violent incidents. Seven Congress MPs anand, Ponnam Prabhakar, Madhu Goud Yaskhi, Manda Jaganattham, K Rajagopal Reddy, Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Sircilla Rajaiah tried to meet the Chief Minister to seek his intervention to save the situation from worsening but were denied permission. They said that they were prevented from discharging their duty as MPs in safeguarding the fundamental rights of the people and prevent eruption of violence they complained to the Speaker.
