Hyderabad

Keeping the September 30 Telangana March in focus, a delegation of Telangana Joint Action Committee led by its chairman M Kodandaram along with the representatives of NGOs and other unions met the Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. The delegation appealed the Governor to direct the State Government not to create hurdles for the Telangana March. They expressed apprehension following the plans to post heavy police personnel though the Telangana March would be held in a Gandhian way.

The delegation called on the former MP K Keshava Rao and sought his support. The former MP has assured the TJAC leaders that the Telangana Congress MPs would fully cooperate for the Telangana March.

The CPI (M) State Secretary BV Raghavulu and the BJP state president G Kishan Reddy alleged that the Congress central leadership is floating an idea of all party meet in a bid to divert the attention and diluting the rally. TRS MLA T Harish Rao warned the government that a large number of people would gather on the day of Telangana March to build a pressure if a resolution is not passed in the Assembly by then.
