Telangana United Front co-chairperson Vimalakka arrested in vandalizing KBR statue case

The Banjara Hills police arrested Telangana United Front co-chairperson Vimalakka in connection with her alleged involvement in vandalizing the statue of the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kasu Brahmananda Reddy at the KBR Park.

Banjara Hills ACP E Shankar Reddy said that Vimalakka masterminded damaging the statue of late Kasu Brahmananda Reddy and led a group of the TUF activists to the statue in the wee hours of September 17. He said that some of the activists also burnt vehicle tyre and put it on the statue head and other broke the granite stones of the platform.

The police produced here in a court, which directed her for 14 days judicial remand.
