CM speaks to ministers from Telangana region on Telangana March

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday spoke to the senior Ministers from Telangana region and asked them to ensure the TJAC postpone the Telangana March. He also telephoned the Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha, K Jana Reddy, Geeta Reddy and former MP K Keshava Rao. Former Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao refused to mediate on the issue.

Possible violence on cards says Police

The Police said that those who do not have any record of agitations are likely to participated in the September 30 Telangana March. The DGP (Law and Order) SA Huda, speaking at a press conference, said that the police have inputs that those participated in the earlier rounds of demonstrations will not participate in the march. He said that the TRS and Congress leaders including MLAs, MPs are mobilizing cadres behind the scenes. Nearly 300 activists have been arrested in Warangal region and several detentions have already taken place in Nalgonda. He said that the activists are likely to target the properties of Seemandhra and key structures like the Secretariat and Assembly. He said that police always targets to maintain peace and harmony. The DGP ensured that bullets will not be used against the agitators and will avoid any confrontation.
