August 4, 2013

In the back drop of the protests by the Seemandhra people against bifurcation of the State of Andhra Pradesh and many of the leaders demanding to keep Hyderabad as Joint Capital for both the States or to made it as a Union Territory, the TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao on Sunday said that nothing short of Hyderabad is not acceptable to the people of Telangana.

However, he said that TRS has no objection to make Hyderabad a joint capital for a period of ten years as was announced by the Centre and Telangana Government would run administration from Hyderabad only.

Speaking to journalists, he said that as far they are concerned, Separate Telangana was already formed as was announced by AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh. Giving clarification on his comments, he said 'I merely said that they will have to work for Andhra Government while Telangana people will work for Telangana government and added that he was not asking anybody to leave as people from all regions of the country were settled in Telangana for centuries. "People of Telangana suffered injustice in all spheres of life and nobody can dispute this. Their resources were taken away, they were denied employment opportunities. Now they will get justice, their due share. He made it clear that the Film Industry would be in Hyderabad and would be developed.
