TDP

Telugu Desam Party has reiterated that the party is not against the formation of the Telangana state. Reacting to the comments of the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) that the TDP still needs to air out further clarity on the Telangana issue, TDP senior leaders Kadiam Srihari and Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy said that the party is not against the Telangana state and would support the Telangana bill if placed in the Parliament.

The TJAC has made some progress recently in bringing the TDP to the TJAC fold. The TJAC recently said that the TDP has made some forward movement on the its Telangana stand. Referring to the criticism of the other political parties in Telangana, the TDP leaders said that there is no ambiguous stand from their point of view on the Telangana issue. The TDP leaders said that if anybody has any doubt if the TDP's stand is ambiguous, they can bring the minutes of the meeting of the all-party meeting on Telangana issue that was held on December 28 in Delhi.

Challenges KCR to prove allegations

TDP also challenged the Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhar Rao to prove the allegation they levelled that TDP has opposed the Telangana state at the all-party meeting. They advised KCR to go through the minutes of the meeting and said they are prepared for any kind of punishment if proved wrong. The leaders also charged KCR for the present volatile situation of Telangana.

Asks TJAC to go after Congress and YSRCP

TDP also suggested the Joint Action Committee to come out of the clutches of the TRS party. The TDP leaders said that the TJAC needs to act objectively towards the realisation of a separate Telangana state. The leaders also felt that it is the Congress and the YSR Congress Party that gave an ambiguous stand on the Telangana issue and suggested the TJAC to go after them.
