'No need to submit two road maps on Telangana issue', opines Telangana Congress leaders

The Ministers from the Telangana region and elected representatives who met at a meeting convened by the Deputy Chief Minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha on Sunday said that there was no need to submit two road maps on the issue of Telangana.

Expressing concern over submission of two road maps means of diluting the efforts of mounted by the leaders of the region on the Centre. The leaders maintained that the roadmap to be presented on their behalf would demand formation of Telangana comprising of ten districts including Hyderabad. It may be recalled that the AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh has asked the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and the PCC president to attend the Core committee meeting with separate road maps on the for and against of the formation of separate Telangana State. Former PCC president and Minster for Panchayat Raj Jana Reddy along with five of his colleagues, MPs and legislators who attended the meeting preferred to continue their consultation for a few more days before the report was finalized.
