'BJP led NDA will deliver separate Telangana state', says its president Rajnath Singh

The BJP president Rajnath Singh speaking at a public meeting at the Nizam College grounds on Monday evening said that the BJP led NDA government could alone deliver the separate Telangana State within months of its formation of the government. He ruled out alliance with parties that opposed to separate Telangana in the vent of his party-led NDA not securing a clear majority in the next general elections.

The meeting marked the admission into the BJP of Nagarkurnool MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy who also merged his Telangana Nagara Samithi with the party. Nagam said that the decision to support statehood for Telangana was taken by the BJP with a firm conviction and the party will unconditionally support the legislation in Parliament if it was moved by the government. He said that the Congress failed in his direction and broken the promises.

The BJP president said that the Congress that promised to check inflation in 100 days but 1,460 days have gone by and nothing happened and this is because of wrong economic policies, poor planning and corruption. He said that the Prime Minister was not spared of corruption charges in the allotment of coal blocks. Rajnath Singh added that neither the Prime Minister nor Chief Minsters of BJP will accept their posts even if an accusing finger was raised at them.
