Addressing a press conference on Sunday, the TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao defended his criticism of Seemandhra leaders during ‘Sakala Jana Bheri’ stating that sweet words cannot be expected from those who are oppressed.

He said that the language of the people who are being exploited and oppressed for the last six decades is bound to be a little harsh and it has nothing to do with the culture. He wanted to know whether the language being used by several Seemandhra leaders against Telangana tribals, students’ people and on the movement was known as ‘culture’. He reiterated that he would not hesitate to call those who had been opposing and obstructing statehood to the region as betrayers of Telangana, he said such comments were made not against the people of Seemandhra but their leaders. On a question of opposing a rally being planned by YSR Congress party, he said that the supporters of Telangana would try to oppose such a meeting as that party was against the Statehood to the region now.
