Telangana Congress leaders celebrates 'Jaitrayatra'

The Congress leaders and cadre on Friday organized 'Jaitrayatra' to thank the AICC president Sonia Gandhi for granting separate statehood for Telangana.

The meeting was attended by nine Ministers, seven MPs and a MLCs and MLAs sought to instil confidence among all sections of the people that Telangana consisting of 10 districts with Hyderabad as its capital was a reality and there was no room for any misgivings on it. They said that the long cherished dram of the people of the region became possible only due to Sonia Gandhi and they appealed to people to strengthen the Congress by voting for it in the coming general elections.

In an indirect reference to the Chief Minister, the Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha said that a leader was supposed to be free from arrogance and obstinacy and treat all the regions on equal footing. Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao said that the former he was made as Chief Minster became unfaithful. Former PCC president D Srinivas said that how Kiran Kumar Reddy was opposing Sonia Gandhi's decision when he had adorned the top post with her blessings. He said that Telangana would come in spite of several plots being hatched by Seemandhra leaders.
