Hyderabad

The TRS leader T Harish Rao said on Wednesday that the proposal for designating Hyderabad as Union Territory was not acceptable to the people of Telangana region.

Speaking to media at Siddipet, Harish Rao said that in the event of a decision takes place by the Centre, the entire region would turn into fire ball. He said that Seemandhra leaders are demanding UT status for the city without understanding the meaning of it. He said that they are saying that Hyderabad should be made Union Territory so that interests of the people of their region would be protected. But reality is that they are pushing Hyderabad into the hands of Centre as after division they cannot lay their hands on the Capital.

On the issue of Government according permission for the meeting of APNGOs and denying the same to the Telangana activists, he said this exposed the true colours of the Chief Minster Kiran Kumar Reddy who was indirectly supporting the agitation for united State. He said that this is nothing but instigating the people of the region and are being treated as second class citizens in our territory, he said.

Jana Reddy wants the permission withdrawn

Meanwhile, Minister for Panchayat Raj K Jana Reddy while opposing the permission being granted to the APNGOs to the proposed 'Save Andhra Pradesh' meeting to be held on September 7 at LB Stadium said that he would take up the issue with the Chief Minister after his return from New Delhi. TJAC Chairman Prof.Kodandaram who met him on Wednesday said that he would request the Chief Minister to withdraw the same in the interests of maintenance of Law and Order. It is learnt that Jana Reddy counselled the Telangana supporters to have reschedule their programme to some other day as it was not meant to have an upper hand.
