TJAC calls for Telangana bandh against CM's anti-Telangana stance

Telangana Joint Action Committee has called for 24 hour Telangana bandh beginning from Friday midnight against anti-Telangana stance of the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.

TJAC assured that it will not block or disrupt the APNGOs public meeting scheduled to be held on Saturday in support of united Andhra Pradesh. After its steering committee meeting on Thursday, TJAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram said that they will disrupt rail and road traffic during the bandh. He said that the bandh has been called to protest and condemn the anti-Telangana attitude of Kiran Kumar Reddy and added that they will not disrupt the APNGO's meet. He said at the same time, they will take out peace rally.

The bandh is expected to affect normal life in all the 9 Telangana districts and be partial in Hyderabad. Railway and APSRTC officials says that they will run as usual. Sources said that the decision of TJAC not to oppose the APNGOs rally was party influenced by a telephone call from TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao from Delhi to ensure that the bandh and the proposed Shanti rally be peaceful.
