Rahul Gandhi proposes tax holiday for ten years for Telangana

Appealing the people of Telangana to vote Congress to power in the newly formed Telangana, AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi announced a number of sops to the people. The Congress vice president has address public meetings in Telangana today.

Rahul Gandhi said that if voted to power in the State Congress government will give tax holidays for a period of ten years in the State. Addressing the people at a public meeting in Mahabubnagar, Rahul said that TRS is making big promise and added that they promised to merge with the Congress and make a Dalit as a Chief Minister of Telangana. But they have forgotten both these two promises. He said that TRS will too forget it's lengthy promises being made to the people, he said.

The AICC vice president said that if the State has to be developed in all fronts, it requires an experienced government that can be done only with Congress. He said that Congress will install here a 4,000 mw power plant in the newly formed State and tax holiday would be given for a period of ten years, said Rahul.

Rahul Gandhi said that the 60 years fight for a new State will come to an end by June 2. Teachers, students, women, farmers, advocates and all have fought for fulfilment of the dream which could be made a reality with Congress. The new State is formed only with the sacrifices of hundreds of people. He said that Congress has created the State in a most democratic way. He said 'we say what we can do and does what we say' said Rahul Gandhi. MP Rapolu Bhaskar has translated the speech of Rahul Gandhi.

Opposition stalls Women Bill

AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi said that the Women Bill was obstructed by the Opposition. He said if Congress is voted to power, it will install separate police stations for the security of women. He reminded that the cap has been extended from 9 to 12 domestic cooking gas cylinders and the credit goes to Congress, said Rahul Gandhi. Congress will take up free medical aid and distribution of medicines, after it comes to power.

Rahul Gandhi alleged that the present main Opposition aim is to divide two categories ie., the rich and the poor. But aim of the Congress is to make the participation of the poor in the development of the country, he said. He said that nearly 14 crore people have been liberated from poverty and hungry and 100 days security and food security is the efforts of the Congress, he said.
